In almost twenty years advocating for the Canadian government’s programs and policies in the areas of tech, trade, common services, and cultural affairs; creating a meaningful impact on the public was key. While strategies, memorandums, and proposed arrangements were sent up the chain, my most fulfilling work involved the impact it left in forwarding the life of the Canadian public. Whether exhibiting at a national tech show exhibition, leading a multi-national Foreign Minister Forum, coordinating a Prime Minister’s reception, or celebrating Canadian Academy Award nominees; the return on investment consistently stemmed from the program’s inherent value and connection to people. These moments did not only mark a success in time, but rather left a lasting desire to connect and create new.
